Astor Hoxha was born in Durazzo, Albania, where as a child he soon found himself interested in reading and foreign languages. He moved to Rome very soon and there he discovered his passion for hairstyling and coiffure while completing his studies.
This leads him to start working as a hairstylist in L’Oreal salons. What fascinates him from the beginning about this kind of activity is the possibility to express his own creativity thanks to his ability with his hands. Eager to use his talent in the art world, to which he feels very close, he finds his ideal dimension in working as a hairdresser at the Opera house of Bologna, where he learns all the tricks of on-stage hairstyles, from old-style wigs to the modern visions of contemporary ballet.
In the meantime, driven by the will to completely become a professionist he follows an in-depth make-up course at the National Cinema Academy which allows him to become proficient as a make-up artist too. Attracted to and admired for the work of great masters of photography such as Helmut Newton and Guy Bourdin he then approaches fashion, towards which he has a great curiosity, and therefore he decides to move to Milano, where he starts his intense career. His intuition in terms of trends, bound together with his amazing sense for aesthetics takes him to work for numerous magazines in Italy and abroad
